Michael Schmidt Awarded University of Manchester's Medal of Honour

No Text On Tuesday 18th March, our Managing Director and Publisher Michael Schmidt was awarded the University of Manchester's Medal of Honour, one of the University's highest accolades. He received the award at a special Medal of Honour presentation and dinner at Christie’s, presided over by Chair of the Board of Governors, Philippa Hird. Nominations for the award come from current University students, alumni, staff and members of the Board of Governors or General Assembly for the awards.

John McAuliffe, Associate Publisher and Editor at Carcanet commented, 'Michael Schmidt is a true citizen of the world, a good and faithful servant to poetry, whose enthusiasms and whose drive and infectious belief in the power of books have been a glory, for more than 50 years of the University, the city of Manchester, and the global literary community.'
