  • Two poems by Joe Winter, who was born in London in 1943 and taught English in secondary schools in London from 1967 to 1994. He lived in Calcutta for twelve years before returning to England in 2006. Anvil has also published his translations of collections by the great Bengali poets Jibanananda Das and Rabindranath Tagore and his most recent collection of poems, Guest and Host (2003).
