  • Michael Smith was born in 1952 in Dublin. He co-founded New Writers Press in Dublin in 1967 and was founder and editor of the literary magazine The Lace Curtain. He has published selected translations of the two Baroque masters, Quevedo and Góngora, and many modern Spanish-language poets. His Collected Poems was published in 2009.
