  • Richard Berengarten (formerly Burns) was born in London in 1943 and was educated at Pembroke College, Cambridge and University College London. He is a teacher and poet with many books to his credit. In 1975 he founded the international Cambridge Poetry Festival, which ran till 1983. He has lived in Italy, Greece, Serbia, Croatia and the USA. He now lives in Cambridge, England, where he is a Bye-Fellow at Downing College and a Praeceptor at Corpus Christi College.
